Covers or structures designed for pedestrian loading, allowing for a 300 lbs/square foot uniform live load.
Incidental H-20 Traffic Loading:
Covers or structures designed for traffic conditions utilizing a 16,000 lb dual wheel load without allowance for impact. These covers should not be used in areas of high density, high speed, or high impact traffic.
H-20 Full Traffic Loading:
Covers or structures designed for high density traffic conditions utilizing a 16,000 lb dual wheel load, in addition to a 30% increase allowance for impact.
HS-20 Full Traffic Loading:
Essentially the same as H-20 load ratings, utilizing a 16,000 lb dual wheel load with a 30% increase for impact. The only difference is there is an additional axle carrying 32,000 lbs, which has no measurable impact on cover load strength.
